Greetings Friends!
We are excited to be reopened at Shamrock Hills for the beginning of our 3rd season. It’s been a journey and we could not have accomplished all that we’ve accomplished without each of you and your support and sharing us with others—it truly takes more than a vineyard. . . it takes a very large village! I promise you if you join us on the rather icky days that we are open—we do have the warmth of heat, staff, fellowship, and our wine is always flowing!
If Mother Nature decides to get back on her meds and cooperate a bit, we hope to start pruning soon. Matt and Mike got Block 1 done before this last arctic blast. If you have a greenish thumb and would like to help—send a note to Mike at shamrock12300@gmail.com. We just have a few thousand vines to prune! ☺
Sometime, in the first 2 weeks of March we will be bottling with a mobile bottler but even though we have his fantastic equipment, we will need some assistance, so if you are available, please let us know. We’ve received the bottles, the corks, and yes, we got the labels approved and they are on order! We will be bottling several varietals in one day! Just in time for our Spring Wine Club Release which is scheduled for Friday, April 11th from 5-9P. This will be a private event, and the winery will be closed to the public that evening—just the Wine Club. If you are curious about our wine club—check out the details at this link.
So as we sit here, on National Drink Wine and Watch it Snow Day (Tuesday, February 18th)—with our glasses of wine in hand—we salute each of you! Sit back with your glass and enjoy this edition of Wining in the Hills!
Salute’
Mike and Denise Riley
